ACC DAY 2014
"The aged are mentors, they have wisdom to share with the younger ones."
On, Saturday, December 6, 2014, The Lehigh SDA Church had its first annual Advanced Church Citizen's day, or ACC Day.  The ACC, a name lovingly coined by our pastor, Dr. Newton Hoilette, a fellow ACC, gives a prestigious title to the aged of our population.
A message of acceptance and love towards one of the churches’ greatest resources, the older members, was given in Dr. Hoilette’s usual inspiring manner.  He talked of the generosity of the ACC, and their willingness to give without expecting anything in return.

It was a message that not only addressed the needs and desires of the ACC, but that through God’s aged servant in the Bible, he proved they are an asset to all. He further admonished the congregation of individuals from ages one to over 90, to take the time to forge valuable relationships with each other, and to care for our ACC.

Sister Zatilda Johnson was honored as the oldest active member in Lehigh SDA Church.  With a birthday coming up on the 11th of this month, she will be 92 years old! Sister Babb at 104, provided proof that the elders are here to stay.  Advanced Church Citizens, which start at the age of 67, are a viable and important part of the church, and are a treasure to God.

No matter the age, life is truly worth the living.  God bless our Advanced Church Citizens.
